Lalla Aracely from the Hamilton Police Service was the Hamilton AM Guest Speaker on Janury 14, 2026 .
Lalla has been with HPS for 6 years, prior to that she was in the Canadian Military for 16 years. After her time on front line patrol, she was awarded the position of Senior Support Officer in the Crimes Against Seniors Unit. In this role she does a lot of community engagement including presentations and liaising with other agencies working with seniors. Her work includes welfare checks, some investigations as well as managing all the reports from Long Term Care Homes and Retirement Homes.
In her presentation she gave many current examples of fraudulent acts that often targeted seniors.
Aracely will be moving to a Detective Constable position in the Crimes Against Seniors Unit where she will continue to advocate and work for seniors.
